Avril Lavigne Music Featured in Playstation3’s SingStar Pop Vol. 2
Hey guess who’s going to be featured in a new Playstation3 video game? That’s right!
Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today the release of SingStar® Pop vol. 2, the follow-up to the top-selling SingStar® Pop, exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. The latest installment to the multi-million SingStar® franchise features more of PlayStation fans’ favorite songs with an all-new lineup of 30 songs from chart-topping pop artists like Maroon 5, Avril Lavigne, Gwen Stefani, Fergie and Rihanna.
Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studio’s London Studio, SingStar Pop vol. 2 is available both as a stand-alone disc and packaged with two high-quality USB microphones. As in previous SingStar titles, SingStar Pop vol. 2 provides an interactive social singing experience by incorporating technology that recognizes pitch, tone and rhythm to accurately score players as they perform to the original recordings and real videos from popular artists.
Hours of fun and ideal for entertaining-at-home, SingStar Pop vol. 2 allows players to perform as solo singing icons in single-player mode or share the spotlight with friends in multiplayer modes, including cooperative Duet Mode, one-on-one Battle Mode and the team-based Pass-the-Mic. Players also can easily access any of the song lists from the SingStar PlayStation 2 catalogue with the disc swap feature which allows seamless transition between titles.
Sounds like a singing only version of Guitar Hero or Rock Band. SingStar Pop vol. 2 was released Tuesday, September 23. You can purchase it on Amazon here (with your parents permission first). It is rated “T” for Teen.
