Avril Lavigne’s Perfume Hitting Stores in 2009

It’s been a while since we’ve heard about Avril Lavigne’s upcoming perfume line. Avril has signed a fragrance licensing deal with Procter & Gamble Prestige Products (the company that Christina Aguilera). Says Avril in a statement: “[I’m very pleased] to be working with Procter & Gamble on releasing my first fragrance. Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone.”

Avril’s first scent is expected to be launched in the second half of 2009. This first scent is going to be marketed to teenagers, primarily. It’s at least 6 months off, but who’s going to buy it?
