Avril Lavigne’s hit song “Girlfriend” has inspired its own graphic novel! Written by Gail Simone, the story of “Sleight of Hand and Heart” is of a girl who wants a boy who’s too good for the girlfriend he’s got. The girl must overcome her self-doubt, as well as her glamorous arch-nemesis, to gain her freedom and the heart of the boy she loves. Simone has also written for Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, and The Simpsons. It’s illustrated by Nelson “Dedos” Garcia of cutting-edge design studio, Nomadic Alternatives.

Every girl in school wants Dylan Ki. Cute, cool, and so sweet. Sweet enough to get the richest and hottest girl in school, Layla. But there area a lot of things about Layla that Dylan doesn’t know.
